How to apply PAN card Aadhaar online process
Welcome! As you probably know by now, the Government has made it mandatory for Indian citizens to link their PAN and Aadhaar cards. The deadline for the same is 30th September, 2021.
However, it is possible that some of you have applied for your PAN or Aadhaar card but have not received it yet. How do you link the two if this is the case?
Here’s what you can you Do for PAN AND AADHAAR CARD APPLY ONLINE PROCESS
· If you have an Aadhaar card but don’t yet have your PAN card, you can use your Aadhaar number to get an e-PAN through a quick online process.
· First visit the site: https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/
· Go through the services menu and select: Instant E-PAN.
· Next select: Get New e-PAN.
· Follow the steps carefully right till the end where you will get an acknowledgement of your application.
· You can check the status of your application and download your e-PAN by following the first two steps again but then selecting: Check Status/ Download PAN in the third step.
· Your e-PAN has the same validity as a physical PAN card and can now be used to link with your Aadhaar.
If you have a PAN but still don’t have your Aadhaar, here’s what you need to do:
· Apply for your Aadhaar by following these steps:
· Visit the website of the Unique Identification Authority of India(UAIDI) https://uidai.gov.in/16-english-uk/aapka-aadhaar/41-how-to-enrol.html
· Once at the site, make note of the list of documents that will need to submit. This will include a proof of address and a proof of name.
· You can also download the enrolment form from here https://uidai.gov.in/images/aadhaar_enrolment_correction_form_version_2.1.pdf
· You will need to physically visit an Aadhaar enrolment centre to complete the process. You can find the nearest centre to you by going here: https://appointments.uidai.gov.in/easearch.aspx
· At the centre you will need to submit the enrolment form, duly filled along with the supporting documents.
· The centre will also take your photograph which will be printed on your Aadhaar card.
· Next you will have your biometric data like fingerprints and retinal scan collected at the centre.
· Once you have completed all the procedures at the centre you will be given an acknowledgement slip with a 14-digit number. You can use the number code to track the status of your Aadhar card. Keep the slip safely till your card reaches you.
· Once your Aadhar enrolment has been processed you can also apply for an e-Aadhaar which is an electronic copy of your Aadhaar. You can get your e-Aadhar by going here: https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
· It could take up to three months for your Aadhaar application to be processed.
· The 14-digit acknowledgement number can be used in lieu of your Aadhaar number until such time as you receive it.
